Thank you for taking the time to read this very important notice. It is important for you to understand what it is that InsurePet offers you and what care you should take when choosing to act based on information read or viewed.
InsurePet is not licensed to provide financial advice in South Africa. We do not make ourselves out to be experts in the matter of giving of financial advice. We also do not provide any intermediary services to other financial service providers.
We appreciate that pet insurance has become as confusing as other short-term insurance products, and that’s not good. We’ve investigated and compared as many pet insurers as we could find, to make things easier for pet-parents everywhere to find the cover that might be right for them.
All of the information that you find on this website is intended to promote discussion, and allow you the pet owner to make a more informed decision as to how your short-term insurance needs might be met, and what suitable products might be out there.
This includes but is not limited to the concepts explained, the thoughts of our interviewees and writers, as well as our opinions, whether implied or not, and is certainly not intended to be construed as financial advice.
While we strive to ensure that whatever gets published here on InsurePet is accurate and honest, we must caution our readers that unintended errors may creep in. If you find any, please let us know and we’ll promptly correct them.
We will from time to time make reference to sources of information not our own. In such circumstances, we rely on the authors of that information to maintain the accuracy and integrity of that information, and would encourage you to apply the same level of care when reading third-party content as you would ours. We make no representations and provide no warranties as to the accuracy or completeness of the content on this site, whatever the source. We will however only publish material which we believe to be reliable and honest.
In ALL instances, where information is displayed about a product provider’s offering, that product provider was afforded an opportunity to provide input into how their product was displayed and to confirm the accuracy of the information displayed.
Having said the above, we disclaim all liability for any loss, expense or damage, either direct or consequential which may be suffered, either directly or indirectly as a result of the use or reliance upon any information on this website, whether published by InsurePet or through a link to a third-party website.
As is intended with this site, we would encourage you to do your own due diligence of financial products. Should you feel out of your depth; engage the services of a licensed and professional financial planner.
Accessing our content and site does not require you to register in any way and does not cost you anything.
There are elements of our website that permit you to navigate directly to Financial Service Providers’ websites. In such circumstances, we cannot be held liable for any communications that happen between you and that Financial Service Provider after leaving our site. It is not possible to communicate with a Financial Services Provider directly from our website.
We rely on the Financial Service Providers to provide us with information and as such, cannot be held liable for any liability of any nature which may be caused or attributable, directly or indirectly to your use of our aggregation and comparison services.
Accordingly, you indemnify us regarding services, viewing our content, or the use of any of our offerings contained on this site against any third-party claims, costs, or damages (including reasonable attorney’s fees) caused by or attributable to your use of our Aggregation and comparison services, or our site content in general.

Product aggregation and comparison terms of service
Some of the features we maintain on this website both aggregate and compare financial products that are offered by financial services companies. InsurePet does this in a way that we trust will assist our visitors to our site to make meaningful comparisons, on a number of criteria – not just price. It should be understood that we don’t list every product feature or benefit, but have chosen those features that we feel are vital in terms of understanding the core benefits as well as limitations across all products, thereby allowing readers to compare like with like. If you find a product that you think might meet your needs, then the best place to get full product information would be from the product provider’s website.
Our aim is to present pet insurance products to our readers that represent comprehensive options for dealing with pet medical costs, but not every company can be included.
Whilst we are generally desirous to include all pet insurance products and providers on our site, some companies don’t want their products listed on InsurePet. Some Insurance providers do have more than one product offering. We do however generally only show each selected provider’s most comprehensive offering (in discussion with the product provider), allowing the consumer to compare comparable products. While we have not done a comprehensive comparison for all products in existence, we have otherwise listed those products that exist and that are not showcased, so that the full universe of products can be known to you – our reader. To the best of our knowledge, the following is a current list (in alphabetical order) of all comparable pet insurance products (for cats and dogs) in the market.
Absolute Pets, DogSure, DotSure, Genric, Hollard, Kido Pet, MediPet, OnePet, Paw24, PawPaw, Pet99, Regal, Rogz, and Solver.
We have also gone to great pains to ensure that how we present the information and how we allow you to filter or view the products, does not in any way create a bias or favour for a particular product or supplier. If you think we have failed at this, please let us know.
Where technical terms are used, we have tried to provide clarity as to what those terms mean, either in relation to that specific financial product, or the industry in general. If something is not clear and you feel that you need more clarity, we would encourage you to contact the owner or issuer of the financial product and request further details from them. We have otherwise tried to communicate all details and terms in easy to understand and clear language.
We will always publish up to date information in relation to any products or services that we profile and will actively publish the date on which the information was last updated.
If you have any complaints about how InsurePet presents any financial products on this site you are very welcome to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
It is also very important to understand that InsurePet does not ever sell or contract with its readers and never enters into a contractual relationship with regard to any financial services or products. Should you decide that you would like to find out more about a financial product listed, then that communication will always take place with a licensed financial services provider and directly with the Financial Services company.
InsurePet embraces and welcomes all the suggestions and recommendations made in the Financial Sector Conduct Authority’s (then FSB) Retail Distribution Review – more specifically the provisions relating to the recommendations and insights into the providing of Product aggregation and Comparison services, as well as the Report on Good Practices on Comparison Websites, issued by the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority.
How we make money
InsurePet strives to provide our readers with full transparency in all that we do. Further to our efforts to remain transparent in all our offerings, we’ve included this note which explains where and how we pay for the free aggregation and comparison service that we provide to our readers and where we might make money.
InsurePet may choose to enter into relationships with select registered financial services providers, whereby InsurePet may earn an advertising charge from such financial services provider for traffic sent to their site. This advertising charge will never cost you anything, nor make the acquisition of a financial product or service any more expensive than it might otherwise have been.
InsurePet may also choose to earn additional advertising revenue for displaying 3rd party providers images, logos, and products.
The team at InsurePet has worked very hard to put this site and all its content together and we’d appreciate it very much if you respect our copyrights.
